About the assignments hub

This section helps a teacher put together a set of work for a class and keep track of what has been assigned. Assignments group questions by topic and class level so a set can be built quickly rather than assembled question by question.

It is designed for the practical realities of a classroom: no logins for students, nothing for a child to install, and printable output where a paper copy is easier than a screen.

Everything here is free. There is no premium tier and no limit on how many assignments you create.

Assignments work best when they are short enough to finish in one sitting. A set of ten questions on a single topic tells you more about what a child has understood than thirty questions spread across a chapter, and it is far more likely to be completed. Use the class level markers to match a set to the group in front of you rather than to the chapter you have just taught.

Pick the topic and class level, then set the number of questions. Keeping a set short enough to finish in one sitting matters more than covering everything at once.

Tracking progress

Completed and pending sections are marked, so you can see at a glance what a class has worked through without collecting anything in.
